DonOne Privacy Policy
Effective Date: August 16, 2026
DonOne is operated by Adindu Frank Okoro ("DonOne," "we," "us," or "our").
This Privacy Policy explains what information DonOne stores locally on your device, what limited information is processed off-device to support DonOne Plus subscriptions, and how each is used.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, you may contact us at support@donone.io.
Information DonOne Stores on Your Device
DonOne is designed as a local-first application. The current version does not require you to create an account or sign in.
Information you enter into DonOne — including habit names and settings, goals, minimum-win settings, progress, completion history, streak-related information, journal entries, reminder schedules, notification preferences, and appearance preferences — is stored locally on your device using your device's application storage.
The current version of DonOne does not transmit this locally stored content to a DonOne server. DonOne's production code does not contain a DonOne backend, cloud account system, analytics service, or advertising service that this content is sent to. Separately, DonOne Plus subscriptions do require some off-device processing — see "Information Processed for Subscriptions" below, which describes exactly what that involves and confirms it does not include this local content.
DonOne allows you to enter free-form journal content. DonOne does not currently apply an additional application-level encryption layer to journal entries or other locally stored information beyond your device's own application storage. Because journal entries may contain information you consider personal or sensitive, use appropriate care when deciding what to record in DonOne.
Information Processed for Subscriptions
DonOne offers an optional subscription, DonOne Plus, that unlocks additional features beyond the free version of the app.
Purchasing and maintaining a subscription requires processing certain information outside your device. This is separate from — and does not include — the local habit, journal, history, and preference content described above.
DonOne uses Apple's App Store to process the purchase itself, and uses RevenueCat, a third-party subscription-management service, to verify your purchase and determine whether DonOne Plus features should be unlocked on your device (your "entitlement status"). The next two sections describe what each of those services does.
DonOne does not operate its own server that independently stores subscription or purchase records; that information is held by Apple and by RevenueCat, as described below.
Apple App Store Purchases
All in-app purchases in DonOne — including DonOne Plus — are billed and processed by Apple through the App Store.
DonOne does not receive, process, or store your payment card number, bank account information, or other full payment credentials. That information is handled entirely by Apple as part of your Apple ID / App Store account.
Your purchase is tied to your Apple ID. Apple's own privacy practices govern the information Apple collects and processes when you make a purchase; see Apple's Privacy Policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ for details.
Apple shares limited transaction information with DonOne — through RevenueCat, described next — confirming that a purchase was made and providing the product and transaction details needed to unlock DonOne Plus on your device.
RevenueCat
DonOne uses RevenueCat, Inc., a third-party subscription-management provider, to verify purchases and manage subscription entitlement status — that is, whether your device currently has active access to DonOne Plus.
Because DonOne has no account or login system, RevenueCat assigns your device an anonymous, RevenueCat-generated identifier (an "App User ID") instead of using a personal account identifier such as a name or email address. DonOne does not provide RevenueCat with your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information.
To provide this service, RevenueCat may process: the anonymous App User ID described above; purchase and subscription transaction information (such as the product purchased, purchase date, renewal or expiration date, and price); your current subscription/entitlement status; Apple App Store receipt and transaction data needed to validate the purchase; and limited technical information (such as device type, operating system version, or app version) needed to operate the service.
RevenueCat does not receive your locally stored habit names, goals, progress, streak information, journal entries, reminder configuration, or appearance preferences. That content stays on your device, as described in "Information DonOne Stores on Your Device" above.
RevenueCat's own privacy practices are described in RevenueCat's Privacy Policy at https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.
Notifications and Reminders
DonOne may request permission to send notifications when you choose to create a reminder.
Reminder notifications are scheduled locally on your device using your operating system's local-notification capability. The current version of DonOne does not register a push-notification token, operate a push-notification server, or use a DonOne server to send remote push notifications.
Notification content may include the name of a habit you created. Depending on your device's notification settings, this information may appear on your lock screen or in your notification center.
You can control notification permissions through your device settings, and you can mute or modify individual reminders within DonOne.
The current version of DonOne does not request access to your camera, photo library, microphone, precise location, contacts, health information, Bluetooth, biometric information, or advertising tracking identifier.
How Information Is Used
Locally stored content (habits, history, journal entries, reminders, and preferences) is used only to operate the app on your device — for example, to display your habits, calculate streaks and completion statistics, and schedule local reminders. This calculation happens entirely on your device and is not the same as remote analytics or telemetry.
Subscription-related information described above is used only to process your purchase and determine your DonOne Plus access — it is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to providing the subscription.
The current version of DonOne does not use a third-party analytics SDK, advertising SDK, or attribution SDK. DonOne does not display third-party advertisements, access Apple's advertising identifier for tracking, or use App Tracking Transparency for cross-app tracking.
The current version of DonOne does not provide user accounts. We do not ask you to create a username, password, or cloud profile to use the application. The anonymous RevenueCat App User ID described above exists only to track subscription entitlement — it is not a DonOne account, and DonOne has no server-side account record for you to request that we delete.
If you contact us directly (see "Contact Us" below), we use the information you send only to respond to you, provide support, investigate bugs, improve DonOne, or address legal or security concerns.
Data Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell your information.
We share information with Apple and RevenueCat only as necessary to process purchases and manage DonOne Plus entitlement, as described above. We do not share your local habit, history, journal, or preference content with any third party, because that content does not leave your device in the current version of the app.
DonOne is distributed through third-party platforms such as Apple's App Store and TestFlight. Those platforms may independently collect device information, crash information, diagnostic information, or purchase/download information under their own policies. Their data practices are controlled by those companies, not by DonOne.
Data Retention
Locally stored content (habits, history, journal entries, and preferences) remains on your device until you delete it — individually, through a habit's cascading delete, or by deleting the application — as described in "How Your Data Is Deleted" below.
Installing an update to DonOne is intended to preserve your existing local data, but no software system can guarantee against all data loss; device failure, operating-system behavior, corrupted storage, or other events may cause local information to become unavailable.
DonOne does not operate its own cloud backup service. Your device or operating-system provider may independently include DonOne's application data in device-level backups, depending on your own device configuration and settings — DonOne does not control those platform-level backup systems.
Subscription and purchase records are retained by Apple and by RevenueCat according to their own retention practices, independently of what's stored on your device. Deleting DonOne from your device does not delete Apple's transaction history or RevenueCat's subscription records — see those companies' own privacy policies (linked above) for their retention practices.
How Your Data Is Deleted
You can delete individual journal entries within DonOne.
When you delete a habit, DonOne removes the locally stored history and journal information associated with that habit, in addition to removing the habit itself, and cancels that habit's scheduled reminders.
DonOne does not maintain a server-side copy of this information, so there is nothing on our servers to separately delete.
Deleting the DonOne application from your device removes the application's local data from that installation. Because DonOne does not maintain a cloud account or DonOne-operated backup, deleted local data may not be recoverable.
Deleting a habit, journal entry, or the app itself does not delete Apple's purchase history or RevenueCat's subscription/entitlement records, which those companies retain independently. To manage or cancel a DonOne Plus subscription, see our Terms of Use or contact Apple directly through your device's Apple ID / App Store account settings.
Security
We take reasonable steps to design DonOne so that information remains local to your device in the current version.
However, no device or storage method is completely secure.
DonOne's current local storage implementation does not add a separate DonOne-controlled encryption layer to habit information, history, journal entries, reminders, or application preferences. Your device and operating system may provide their own security protections.
Do not use DonOne as the sole repository for highly sensitive or irreplaceable information.
Children's Privacy
DonOne is intended for users who are at least 13 years old.
DonOne is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information directly to us, contact support@donone.io and we will take appropriate steps to address it.
International Processing
DonOne is developed in the United States, and Adindu Frank Okoro operates DonOne from the United States.
If you use DonOne from outside the United States, information processed in connection with your DonOne Plus subscription — by Apple or by RevenueCat, as described above — may be processed in the United States or in other countries where those companies or their service providers operate. By using DonOne, you understand that this information may be processed outside your country of residence.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as DonOne changes.
For example, this policy may need to change if DonOne later introduces accounts, cloud synchronization, additional subscription features, analytics, artificial-intelligence features, remote push notifications, or other services that change how information is handled.
When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and provide notice where appropriate.
Your continued use of DonOne after an updated Privacy Policy becomes effective means the updated policy applies to your future use of the application, subject to applicable law.
